Super Excited!!!

I am going to go to the SM concert in October. That is what is going to get me through the month of October. I can't believe that I am actually going! The only other concert that I have been to has been a Good Charlotte one that took place at my College. When I went, I didn't even listen to them. One of my friends took me to that concert. I was jumping with joy and probably would have screamed too if  I was home when I found out that the tickets were bought!

About Me

I hate writing about me. I am sure my friends could probably fill this out a lot faster than I ever could. Roshni is a nickname that is used a lot.  I was born in Pakistan and raised in U.S. I am 22 years old. I usually have so much trouble talking about myself. However, I am going to give it a try and probably end up writing whatever comes to my mind. 

 

 I am studying Anthropology and Psychology. What am I going to do with the two degrees? Even I don’t know yet! What am I going to do in the future? Let’s see!

 

 In projects and group works I am usually never in the front, usually in the back seat.  I am affectionately known as a dictator between some of my friends. Sometimes I do take control. I am a perfectionist but not to the point where it becomes bothersome. When I know what I want, I will go towards it with full determination.  If I decide something, I usually tend to get started right away because I know if I don’t, I’ll never get around to it.

I love what I love and it becomes my passion. Even though it fades away for a bit but it always comes back. I love to write, read listen to music, make videos, talk and listen to my friends and spend quality time with my family.

I usually write gen Supernatural fics or I love writing with famous celebrities paired up with friends or myself –blush- -shrugs- what can I say?

I also play around with computer programs such as picture and movie editing, so you’ll catch glimpses of them here.

I can listen to any type of music as long as I am in the mood. My iTunes is filled with songs in various languages including but not limited to English, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi and whatever I feel like listening to.

I love spending time with my family as long as I get some alone time too. My brothers and I tend to bond watching shows or movies together. Supernatural, Big Time Rush and Suits are some of the shows that we must watch together.

Some of the shows I watch, when I actually get the chance include House, Bones, and NCIS. Two shows for which I actually make time are Supernatural and Suits. Back in 2005 I was interested in Supernatural because of the supernatural part of it but what kept me a part of the fandom was Dean and Sam. At times I am quite envious of their sibling relationship/bond. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are brilliant actors who have managed to bring to life a few of TV’s complex characters.

I also watch Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese dramas and what ever catches my eye when I have time. It is not limited to these but these are the ones that prevail the most.

People...too many to list but just to name a few: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Jaejoong, Yamapi, Nichkhun, Big Time Rush, DBSK, Super Junior, SHINee and a lot more that I am just too lazy to list.

Maybe when I have time, I’ll make a list of dramas I have seen and my favourite artists. I might have a lot but that does not mean that my love for anyone of them is less.

Ramadan (The Month of Fasting)

Ramadan Mubarak to All!!!

Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is the month in which Muslims refrain from eating, drinking during daylight hours, temptation and obscene/irreligious sights and sounds. It is the ninth month in the Islamic Calender.

It is the month in which the gates of hell close and the gates of heaven open. Shaytan is bound and cannot take you down sinful path. It is the month of forgiveness. Fasting is mandatory on every Muslim since they reach puberty. The elderly and the chronically ill are exempt but they have to feed the poor. We pray namaz for ourselves but we fast for Allah.

Ramadan teaches us patience, and humility. It is a month of spiritual reflection and worship. We may think that by refraining from eating and drinking we are doing a big thing but always remember that there are people out there who have less to eat and drink than you do even during the month of Ramadan.

What I plan to do this Ramadan:
-Ask Allah for forgiveness.
-let go of all the bad things I am holding on to; all the anger and the hurt.
-Memorize the 30th parah.
-Read taraveeh prayer each night.
-Read the whole Qur'an.
-Fix my whole schedule including my prayers even after Ramadan.
-Memorize the dua's that I have been meaning to for a while.
-Make an effort to be a better Muslim and person for the rest of my life.
-Try to make an effort to start talking to family.

In Sha Allah (If Allah Wills).

They finally have a place for women at the mosque near my house. I read the Taraveeh prayer last night! It made me happy.

Surah's I already know are Surah An-Nas (Mankind), Al-Falaq (Dawn), Al-Ikhlas (The Purity),Al-Lahab (The Flame), An-Nasr (Divine Support), Al-Kafiroun (The Unbelievers), Al-Kausar (Abundance), Al-Ma'un (Small Kindness), Al-Quraish (Tribe of Quraish), Al-Fil (The Elephant), Al-Humaza (The Traducer, The Gossip-monger), Al-'Asr (The Time) .

Today I am going to memorize Surah Al-Takathur (Competition). In Sha Allah (If Allah Wills)

I haven't written on here in a while. I can't believe I actually made a Google+ account just because James Maslow created one. -shakes head at self- I hope he adds me his circle of friends or on twitter. I would scream with Joy & it would make me so happy. I sound like a 13 year old fan crazy person. I assure you I am not. I just may turn into one when it comes to Big Time Rush...especially James, Jensen, Jared, Nichkhun, Jaejoong, Yamashita Tomohisa. How is it that the first two Big Time Rush Fans I talk to both have James following them on twitter. sooo jealous! Happy for them but *pouts* I want him to follow me too.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

So I have gotten addicted to My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. I can understand why people were addicted to the show and its popularity. However, I am glad I am watching it now, so I don't have to go through the waiting a week for the episode.

I love the show which is weird.

PaathShaala

I watched Paathshaala today. I liked it despite the terrible acting and all the yelling giving me a headache. I decided to watch the movie because of Shahid Kapoor. He is a brilliant actor and dancer.

Lie To Me Ep 5

So I am finally done...except for that one tiny paper but oh wells I'll get around to it whenever the prof emails me the changes.

I've been watching Lie to Me (the korean drama..yes I know there is an American Psychological show too)

I like the show but there is something about Eun Hye's acting that is bothering me. I can't put my finger on it...is anyone else watching it?

I love how without them doing anything the rumour is confirmed and then whatever they do just feeds the rumour more.
